Supported Internships

Services are available in Shropshire

Supported Internships are for young people who want to take their first steps into employment.

This is fulltime college course, which provides the opportunity for the young person to learn vital skills in a work placement.  As well as attending college, 70% of the interns’ course takes place within a local business.  Enable offers guidance and support throughout the placement.

What is a typical timetable for a supported Internship?

  • Workplace training supported by a Job Coach where required
  • Maths and English
  • Personal and social development
