Matt Morris - Senior IPS Employment Specialist

Hello folks! I am Matt Morris, the Senior IPS Specialist and team lead for the Shropshire Mental Health IPS Team at Enable. I have been working in the Individual Placement & Support (IPS) Team at Enable for nearly 10 years; and that time has flown by! 

I joined Enable in 2014 on a 6 month contract as an Employment Specialist on a pilot project and loved the meaningful work, the challenges, variety and innovative approach so much I have remained. Prior to my current role I was the Enable Training Manager and enjoyed training other IPS Specialists, writing sessions and modules and providing TSI (Training in Systematic Instruction) training in and out of the county.  

My role is to support the team of Employment Specialists as best I can to help the clients they support into paid work. I am very proud of the team and the amazing work they do; it really is a privilege to play my part and witness the positive impact they make on so many lives. 

Outside of my Enable life I keep busy playing music (bass, guitar, banjo), listening to lots of music, going to gigs and taking on the occasional acting role. I also enjoy keeping fit going to the gym and running after our whippet-poodle, Ludo. But most of all I just love being in the company of my family.
