Sarah Harley - Refugee Employment Support

I’m Sarah, the Senior Employment Officer for the Refugee Employment Support Team. Our provision is steadily expanding to help more people arriving in Shropshire to include asylum seekers and BNOs. We hope to offer employment support to displaced people that have settled in the county to navigate the complexities of the UK jobs market. I have worked on other projects within Enable in my time with the company, and thoroughly enjoy helping others to hit their career goals.  

Prior to my work with Enable, I specialised in adult education and training with a view to helping people pivot their careers after periods of unemployment or seeking career progression. This included a wide sector of apprenticeships and distance learning programmes. Giving people the confidence to embrace big changes is still an integral part of what I do at Enable! 

Outside of work, I am a board game enthusiast and a really irritating winner. (When it happens!) I enjoy spending time with friends and family, you can often find me sat outside - normally in the shade...
