Client Success Story: Adam
Adam was referred to Enable in 2016 by a Connexions advisor. He completed job club, had his CV updated and had regular supported job searching sessions. Adam worked closely with his Business Development Officer (BDO), Dave, who sourced a Data Entry position with the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust initially on a two week paid work placement. Adam really enjoyed this and was offered a part-time job in November 2018. He was then offered another part time position also with the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust in May 2019 as a Quality Controller. He works full-time hours between both jobs.
Adam’s BDO, Dave, worked closely with Adam and the employer to help Adam integrate well into the workplace. Dave said:
“To move into a full-time paid job with the Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is a truly significant outcome for Adam – his employment with the trust is more than a job. He has gained a new family and friends who support and mentor him to develop skills to the extent that he is now regarded as an asset to the team”
Adam’s Team Leader has also been impressed with his skills and said:
“Adam has picked up every task given to him. He has listened to instructions and acted on feedback. He is very determined to finish tasks before looking to start new ones, which is great for us to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner. Adam’s confidence has grown since being here. He now asks questions when he is unsure. Adam’s problem-solving skills and methodical approach has helped with the tasks he has been asked to complete.”
