Client Success Story: Dan
Dan started his Supported Internship placement with Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service in September and has progressed very well under the guidance of Natalie Parkinson and Lisa Vickers.
Dan has fitted into the HR team with support from his Enable Job Coaches and his confidence in the tasks that he is asked to do continues to grow as he is becoming used to the routine. His tasks can range from working on the Cultural Calendar to helping to produce promotional material for Mental Health Awareness Day which he has done whilst working for the Social Inclusion team. Part of his tasks include working on administrative tasks within the HR team. There he has been sending out meeting requests and general tasks including emailing, scanning, shredding and working on spreadsheets.
The completion of a wide range of e-learning modules were an essential part of Dan’s first few weeks within the service.
We can’t help but admire how Dan carries himself, always having a professional approach to the tasks that he is set while gaining confidence with every week that he works with the team. He is looking at the possibility of gaining some independent travel skills as the placement with the Fire Service progresses.
Well done, Dan!
