Working with the wounded – Cosford Air Show 2016

We’re excited to announce that the Veterans Employment Team will be attending this year’s Cosford Air Show on Sunday 19 June.

We’re working in partnership with Walking with the Wounded and the Veterans Mental Health Network to offer support to assist armed forces veterans with mental health needs back into employment by helping veterans gain the skills and qualifications necessary to develop new careers outside the military, re-integrate into society and provide long-term security for themselves and their families. The project offers individualised support in finding the right job for each person as well as support within the job for as long as is needed to both the veteran and the employer.

Cosford Air Show is a key event in the RAF calendar – from interactive exhibits showcasing the Royal Air Force to an eclectic mix of trade stands, awe inspiring flying displays to the chance to jump inside a cockpit and act like a fast jet pilot there is something to keep both children and adults entertained for hours.

Enable employment specialists will be at the Air Show to offer advice and guidance on the services that we have to offer for both jobseekers and employers.

Tickets for the RAF Cosford Air Show are available to purchase from selected Mid Counties Coops, the RAF Museum at RAF Cosford and Hendon, Midlands Air Museum in Coventry and online at www.cosfordairshow.co.uk.

Tickets are £25 per adult with accompanied children under 16 entering free.
